Spring is officially here and schedules are gettin' busy. Which is why I nearly let the whole month go by without currating my current crush list. From SNS nails and OPI Colors to planners and notepads, here's what I've been loving this month!
Rae Dunn Mugs: I might be a little late to the Rae Dunn pottery party but better late than never, right?!? My sweet friend gifted me one of these mugs back in January and I've been adding to my collection ever since. TBH, coffee just tastes better in a mug! And the slightly irregular shape of these mugs make it extra special. They're deep enough to hold a lot of coffee and each one has a different word adding a little something extra to your typical cup 'o Joe. From "BFF" to "SIP" and "ENJOY" you're sure to find one that's your cup of "TEA." I've had luck finding them at TJ Maxx and Homegoods and most average around $5.99.
SNS Manicure with OPI Powder Perfection in Funny Bunny and Chiffon My Mind: I rarely treat myself to a manicure. I simply detest paying someone to do something I know I can do myself. But I found myself crushing on my Bible study leaders manicure color and she told what it was and where she goes! So I went and while it's taken some getting used to, I kind of love it! If you're not familiar with the SNS manicure, it's a powder, not a gel, and is supposed to last 3-4 weeks before showing wear and tear. I'm 2.5 weeks in and so far, so good. It is quite thick and has given my nails the feeling of acrylic, but it also keeps them strong! My manicure was done using two powders by OPI: Funny Bunny and Chiffon My Mind. It's been the perfect spring neutral polish! Check your local salon to see if they offer this and give it a try! Pricing ranges between the high $30's and low $40's but you definitely get your money's worth out of it.
Emily Ley's Simplified Planner: I'm a paper snob! Choosing my paper planners and calendars is the highlight of my year and I'll admit to buying two or three each year before settling on the right one. I've yet to find one that I love enough to consistently stick with year over year so this year, I'm giving Emily Ley's Simplified Planner a whirl. I'm a touch and feel kind of girl and while visiting my friend, Kristen, the other week, I was thumbing through her new planner which totally sold me. I quizzed her on how she uses hers and what she liked best about it. Both of us love to make lists so having sections for daily appointments by the hour and a to-do list for the same day is perfection. They are bright and cheerful which makes agendas and to-do lists all the more fun! I ordered mine in her signature Happy Stripe pattern but my watercolor loving heart also swooned over her Garden Party print.
Emily Ley's Lined Floral Notepad: While we're on the subject of paper goods and making lists, I'm loving this large, lined notepad for my desk at work. Not only is it bright and colorful, but the paper quality is sublime and the larger size is perfection. Slightly larger than a mouse pad, it boasts plenty of room to make lists and to-dos for the everyday while adding a feminine touch to my desktop.
Working Mom's on Netflix: I can't remember who told me about this series but it's a stitch! I'm not one to binge watch TV but I couldn't wait to sneak in an episode or two when the time allowed! I've only watched season 1 but I'm dying to binge watch 2 & 3. If you're a fellow working mom, it's a comedic must-see. You'll find yourself laughing out loud as you remember the awkward moments as a new mom, trying to find you way back into the working world.
Until next month...
