My Colors Are Blush, Bashful & Dusty Rose

Posted by Courtney Frye on

While yellow might be THE Spring color of the season, I'm over here obsessed with all things blush, bashful and dusty rose. My love affair with this color started back in the winter when some of my February Favorites from this blog post came from this color family. And ever sense then, my eyes are naturally drawn to it. From my Designed For Joy leather key chain to the below evening gown I wore to a Gala last month, I can't get enough of it!

I've curated a few of my favorites from this color palette below.

 Adrianna Papell Gown from Belks.

It's gala season and with a husband in banking, we get the opportunity to attend a few gala's each year on behalf of the bank. I don't always buy a new dress for each event but I was feeling a little slimmer and sassier so I went to our favorite department store, Belks, and found this beautiful dress in my current color crush. Phillip and I have a motto of "If Belks doesn't have it, we don't need it."

This dress was simple and sleek. Not too over the top and it could be cut off at the knees for a less formal look. The cowl neck and shoulder bows kept this look super feminine. BONUS: It was 20% off from the retail price so I paid around $120 for an evening dress which isn't too shabby.

The Gala, by the way, was epic with Boyz II Men as the entertainment! You guys!!! Skating rink Courtney was so pumped for this night and you better believe I was front and center for the whole performance.

Kaari Blue Strappy Block Sandal - Belks

I don't do heels. I wish I could, but I'm not the most graceful in them so I avoid them like the plague. I was thrilled to see that the block heel is making a comeback because it helps us less-than-graceful girls stay steady on our feet!

Beautycounter Lip Duo

I've been a Beautycounter fan for over a year now and last fall, they rolled out this transforming lipstick that looks great on everyone. It picks up the perfect pinks in your natural lip color to accent what God gave you! Sadly, it's no longer on their website but fingers crossed they bring it back!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Mountains by OPI

If you like a little color on your nails but want to keep it subtle, this polish color is perfection. You can't beat an OPI polish, in my humble opinion!

Pandora Earrings by The Painted Pearl

I'm happy to report that these best sellers are back in stock!! They always sell out almost as quickly as they are restocked so if you've been eyeing these and patiently waiting for their third debut, now's your chance! Score them here!

The matte/brushed gold finish is subtle and makes these earrings dazzling by day and elegant for evening.

Oyster Necklace by The Painted Pearl

Crushing hard over this gray and blush color combination featuring a gold-painted North Carolina oyster shell pendant. A classic color combination that will carry you from Spring to Summer and beyond.

Tell me, what color are you currently crushing on?!?
