Wheels up for the weekend...

Happy Thursday, I think...

Actual footage of me skipping town for the weekend with my best girl, Heather! Don't look but the wheels of her minivan may have left tire marks as we peeled out of town sans kids.

Heather's leading a small business retreat in Lake Lure and as her wing-woman, I cannot wait to connect with like-minded small business owners as we figure out how to rock the 4th quarter in retail during a global pandemic! {insert all the face palms!!!}

Since taking The Painted Pearl full time this Spring, I've been fitting it in to the nooks and crannies of my day, typically between the numerous requests for snacks, water, milk and all the things that my little associates {aka children} demand. So to have a couple of days away to devote to my business without my typical distractions is like winning the lottery! Shoot I may get to drink my coffee while it's still hot AND go to the bathroom all by myself! Look out!

August is officially underway and my focus will be on completing the remaining watercolor paintings for the 2021 calendar, finalizing my Fall jewelry collection, putting the finishing touches on a new product idea that I'm really excited about and two exciting collaborations, including one with Meredith College Wake County alumnae! {Meredith Angels, reply to this email and I'll give you the scoop!!}

For now, I'm going to savor these next couple of days away to focus on The Painted Pearl and all that's in store for this sweet business of mine for the remainder of 2020!
