My 8 year old son, Davis, has been a busy little bee making necklaces right along side his mama! He's designed his little collection of necklaces by creating his own patterns and color palettes and his entrepreneurial spirit + his heart for the feeding the homeless is melting this mama's heart!
Sometimes I wonder if my kids even know I have a business and other times I wonder if I work too much! But in all the recent frenzy of me taking The Painted Pearl full-time, I've realized that they're seeing me hustle, with a whole lot of heart, for something I love doing. And that apparently has rubbed off on my sweet oldest.
It's taken everything within me to not insert my opinion when I see him working away and truth be told, he's created a cute little collection that even I'm in awe of.
And when I asked him what charity he'd like to support with a portion of his sales, without hesitation he said he wanted to help feed the homeless. {heart melting!} So, he'll be donating $5 from every necklace sold to A Place At The Table in downtown Raleigh!
