Lessons I learned from June...

As someone who's still pretty new to this full-time small business ownership, I still have a lot to learn. And one of the biggest lessons from June was that I bit off more than I could chew. 

Between my birthday sale and the mask + earring bundles with my girl Megan to the Coastal Collection launch and my Summer Soiree gift sets with my bestie, Heather, of Prince Designs, I pushed a lot of product in June. I know it and you know it. 

And if there's one thing I've learned over the last  year or so, it's that you can't sell, sell, sell! You have to show up and serve, serve, serve your customers. And you and I are just flat sold out after June.

So here's what you can expect from The Painted Pearl this July...

1) I'm vowing to have a fun, care-free month where I've set zero sales goals for myself. Crazy, right?!? But in truth, you all have championed me along on this new, full-time venture, far beyond my wildest dreams. April-June were banner months for me that have now allowed me to take a month off, without taking a month off. I'm not closing up shop, not by a long shot! I'm just not going to be pushing new inventory. 

2) I'll be diving in to watercolors as I paint my heart out gearing up for the 2021 watercolor calendars you all know and love! I started painting on the 1st and two days in I'm 1/3 of the way through the 24 paintings I need. 

3) Believe it or not, it's time to design my Fall + Holiday collections. And I'll be reaching out to you to help me be the designer! Stay tuned to a future July e-mail where I'll be wanting your input on what you want to see in your accessory line-up this Fall. 

4) Not only will I continue to show up in your inbox, I'm planning to show up in your mailbox with my second annual Snail Mail Send Off. I've pre-painted + hand-lettered 30 watercolor postcards to send out this summer!
